Mr. Lam joined Pramerica's Hong Kong office in September 2007 and is responsible for the real estate acquisition as well as asset management in Greater China. Mr. Lam was formerly the Director, Head of Real Estate Investment of China Ping An Trust and Investment Co., Limited, the investment arm of the Ping An Insurance Group headquartered in Shenzhen, China where he spearheaded the real estate investment business for the company. Since joining Ping An in 2005, Mr. Lam was responsible for investing more than US$900 million in hard assets and development projects across China and built an acquisition and execution team of 15 professionals.
Prior to his employment with Ping An, Mr. Lam was an Associate Director of AIG Global Real Estate Investment (Asia) L.L.C., Hong Kong, where he identified, analyzed, negotiated, structured and closed real estate investment deals in Greater China (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan) and South Korea. Mr. Lam joined AIG in 1998 until 2005.
Before joining AIG, Mr. Lam was with The John Buck Company - JBC International, L.L.C. in Hong Kong from 1995-1997 as an Associate Director for the company's real estate business in Asia. Mr. Lam began his real estate career with Sun Hung Kai Properties Group of Hong Kong in 1992 with major focused in China real estate projects.
Mr. Lam received an MBA in Finance from Cleveland State University, Ohio, USA and is a CFA charterholder. He is fluent in English, Chinese and Cantonese
